Question about CC Blossom (Mail Order)

okay so I have a question.... I've had a CC Blossom for a long time and she is obviously purple with purple hair.
I recently bought a MIP mail order Blossom off of ebay and noticed she is noticeably more pink rather than purple.

Is this normal? Is this because she is a mail order? Or has she faded?

Also, should I keep my purple blossom? Or replace her with the MIP one like I originally planned.

I believe Blossom was released in store (concave feet) and also a mail order. Perhaps that is the difference?

Its hard to tell in the pictures but... the mip one is a way different color than the other two.

i know in the nirvana sale shellebelle is selling quite a few nirvana blossoms for a really good price.

Totally normal... Blossom comes in a myriad of different variations, especially since her particular color tends to "grey" out.

I don't know if a consensus has ever been reached on how to distinguish CF store Blossom from CF MO Blossom.  As lovesbabysquirmy said, Blossom has a pretty wide range of shades of lavender.  I think of Blossom's color as ranging from warmer to cooler--warmer being the "pinker" one you have as MIP MO.  I don't however think the MO I had as a child was a "warm" Blossom

I'd bet, since she's MIP, she was kept out of the sunlight. Blossom tends to fade. I've had a few that have had portions of their dye leaching out of them. (Like, you clean them, and some of the purple comes right off!)

No you are 100% right There are colour differences between the store CF ponies and their mail order versions - its most apparent in Cotton Candy and in Blossom. The MO version of Blossom is distinctly more pinky purple than the store sold versions. So the colours are right. Personally I would keep both as both are different releases.

I so keep meaning to do a colour comparison for people but never get around to it.
