Coin rings, anyone ever finished making one? Pics? :D

I'm currently in the process of making one from a 1964 silver quarter, but also got a 50 cent piece and a gold dollar from the bank, to try to make into rings also. has anyone on here made a coin ring before? do you have pics?

i'll be sure to post pics of mine when its finished
it takes a while because i'm doing the spoon method. you hammer the edges down with a spoon. its a long process, but its starting to shape the ring finally

I've never made one but I have one that belonged to my grandmother. I honestly don't know if she did it herself or got it that way. It's silver and you can read "United States", "Quarter Dollar", "Liberty" and "1904" on the inside. The outside is polished smooth.

Good luck! It sounds like a really cool project I wear mine all the time.

I've seen tutorials for this, but never tried it myself.  Let us know how long it takes you; it seems like a very slow process.

Neat, I'd never seen those before! I watched another video on how it's done but it didn't show how to get the pattern on the outside! Those were beautiful! Can't wait to see how yours goes!

The video with the hammer and tiny anvil was neat to watch.  But, I am not sure I understand how you can do this with a spoon..?  Wouldn't that take ages?  Don't you need the weight of the hammer?   I'm intrigued, lol!

i am almost done making mine, its taken me a while because i took a few days off from it, and have been working. only been able to work on it at night after work. it took me 4 days to hammer it with a spoon so far, then i drilled a hole in the center, and now i am currently filing it down. this is what i got so far!

i need to file it down some more because its a present for my boyfriend. its going to be polished up and engraved when its finished!
