Yet another thread where I'm unearthing the stuff from my home. A few years ago I have inherited some old money, both paper and coins. Since I'm in Serbia, there is a huge variety of money in there since the states have been changing almost constantly in the past century. I think I have some that are worth quite a bit, either because they are really old (1890s) or because they are from the time of world wars. I will be selling these things but I need to find out what they are worth first, and I need some reliable source that I can trust.

I've started on ebay but would like to have something a bit more stable :)

So,.any conaisseurs here? Or anyone who knows anyone who knows a good page or a forum for this?

my sister is really into coins and all, however there is fake paper money out there as well as souvenir money that is made to look old. So you really need to know your currency and there are different grades for coins as well.  I can say that in most places after a certain date the coins metal would change.  Most common are copper coinage and then silver after that.

That is exactly why I want someone knowledgeable to help me out :) Though I'm fairly sure all the ones I have are original since they've been in my family since that time (we all hail from this region)

I wonder if you can go to your post office and see if anyone there can help?  Usually they are connected to the mint in some way.
