stupid no-bangs Applejack! lol

So I have a Sweet Apple Barn I was totally looking forward to opening because AJ is SUPPOSED to have bangs in it (or so little wiki lead me to believe) but when I took her stupid bkue hat off with a flourish, my "ta-da" moment fell apart. No bangs! What the hay!
So, ok, is this a fluke or do they not have bangs, and what set comes with her with a forelock? Angry, miffed and disappointed. Gahhh!
Still love the set, though!

Strange because she is indeed suposed to have them. As for the other one with bangs. Only the 2010 single has them.

I'm sorry yours doesn't have bangs I saw the same set around here last year, and if I recall correctly, I didn't see her with bangs either! Perhaps there was a flawed batch or this set actually comes with AJ variants...

that is weird , my set had the AJ with the bangs , I was a bit disapointed that the euro double pack AJ  did not  have them either, since that set is from 2010 as well

Well I have the AJ single with the dog and the one with the ladybird, but neither of them have bangs either! I guess I'll just have to find one in the wild again. I had one but I traded it, figuring the SAB set would just give me another...I really should know better!

It sounds like she has been released both with and without bangs.  I hope you love your girl even without her forelock!

As mentioned, she came both ways. The same as we see with Twilight and her hot air balloon.

All AJ, TS and RD G4s were in the initial releases, released with bangs. When we moved on to the next wave of ponies there was no bangs, as we know. However, as tends to be the case with larger and more expensive items, they are manufactured and released several times throughout a year rather than just once. The barn is one example of this. Therefore the earliest releases have bangs and the later releases do not.

If you are talking about that one with Lily Blossom, I think that came out only last year, and had a re-release of Lily Blossom. I don't think there were any more AJs with bangs around then.

Yes I agree with Bright Idea - the AJ which came with Lily Blossom came out with the wave of main 6 when they were with luggage which was a good while after the first wave. It wasnt a whole year worth of ponies which came with bangs remember - just the first wave of that year essentially.

Same thing with Cheerilee and her Schoolhouse, there is a version with bangs and a version without. The one I recently bought does not have bangs. I can't remember if my daughter's set had bangs or not
