Wonderful ebay story <3

Hey everyone!

Sooo, over the past few days I had to do a few quick sales on here and on ebay for something very special. I even sold one of my prized, mint, complete Playtime Baby Brothers for this!

I'm going to buy him that guitar - one way or another! I was, unfortunately, broke... so I put up some of my collection for sale to try to raise up enough funds within 24 hours so I could buy it for him. He had/has no clue about this, by the way.

I managed to raise enough money to bid on the beautiful guitar... and I waited until the final 30 seconds of the auction to put in my high bid. The person I outbid started pushing up the bid in $10 increments - ouch! They drove my bid up a little higher than I was hoping to win it for... but no biggie, because it's for him. Yay, I won!

Later that night, I talked to my boyfriend on the phone (we're in a long distance relationship) and he told me he was trying to win the guitar... but some "jerk," outbid him on it. LOL, he was proud though since he drove the price up for that person! He had no idea it was me he was driving the price up on, haha!

Anyway, I sent the seller a message and told them the story. They were touched by it and said it was the cutest story they've heard since they started selling on there. They put a birthday message in with the guitar... and I was expecting to wait until next week for my boyfriend to receive it. Nope! The seller surprised me and did one day shipping on it... and the tracking shows that it is at my boyfriend's mom's house NOW!

I am so excited, I'm going to attempt to collaborate with his mom to try to make sure he gets it while I am on Skype with him so I can see his reaction.  I just had to share this story with all of you... so nice to have such a wonderful ebay transaction. Best seller ever for me in 10 + years of using ebay, for sure!!

That is so sweet!!! I'd love to know his reaction when he finds out the other person was you.

I did something similar for my hubby a few years back - he missed his childhood Popple (the baseball one), and I spotted it on ebay. Well at the time I didn't have the funds, but it didn't end up selling. A month or so later when I could afford it, I messaged the seller to see if they still had it (it hadn't been relisted, I was watching lol). They still had it and we worked out a deal. And I asked if she could put in a little note of "surprise from your girlfriend", which she did.

Hahaha, what a cute story! first of all, it's lovely of you that you wanted to get him this guitar, and with the circumstance, I am sure he will be blown away when he gets it also, that seller is awesome! It is so nice to know that t ere are still nice people around ^^

Aednatia - I asked them to just write, "Happy Birthday from Micayla!" but it will be interesting to see if they just put it on a blank piece of paper or did something else with it.

I will definitely post an update after he gets it!! I wish I could record his reaction, that would be a wonderful memory to be able to look back on.
