Whitening yellowed ponies? (Starshine in a glass jar?!)

Glory is a  :cloud: pony... She wants to fight aging and stay beautiful, but her body has yellowed.

I remember a thread about whitening yellowed ponies, this thread had a pic of a Starshine in some kind of liquid in a glass jar. And the yellowed Starshine had brightened so much in that liquid! It was a very white Starshine...

Does anyone remember this thread and what was that liquid used for pony whitening? Couldn't find with the search! It might have been even at the old Arena..

Thank you for any help :)

The liquid is hydrogen peroxide used to lighten them whilst in the sun. However you have to be careful with ponies that have rainbow hair in that solution since it could leak and stain the pony's body!

Theres some info about it on FarDreamer's website MLP preservation project under 'body'

Ive never tried it myself but heard it can do wonders as can acne cream too with certain things in it and with supervision of course! :P

Hope this helps you  :satisfied:

I hope it works for Glory :)

Its just an oxidisation process essentially - as the H202 turns into water and oxygen and the reaction is what helps to clean the plastic. I will admit to being a touch sceptical as the reaction is a fast one so I dont understand the need for the pony to be continually exposed unless the water is being continually replaced with H202. While I know there is issues with it making hair brittle and always a risk of the process going to far and staining the pony, I can see that lots of people have had success with it.

Here is the thread with someone successfully using the method - http://mlparena.com/mlp/index.php/topic,311215.msg444246.html#msg444246
