Ok, and this would apply to Cherry Berry too? I think I'm going to go for it...but I'm scared, lol! It's that whole thing of, if you don't de-box immediately then it becomes harder the longer they're in their box. Silly really, and yes, I agree, ponies are for enjoyment! 

For me it applies to pretty much any G4 if I am honest. Rosen's point above covering the bases for me. Just look at the amount of MIB G3s on ebay right now - many ponies turn up MIB more than they do loose - there are more collectors with G4 than there were with G3 so I have no doubt therefore in years to come we will see a similar pattern with this generation.

All that being said it needs to be a personal decision - once she is out the box she is not going back in. So while I would say I wouldnt worry about it devaluing her, it is going to change her forever

If you want to play with them, debox them and keep the box. The only ponies I have that aren't deboxed are some variants and my SDCC 2012 pony, and I have over 100 brushables.

I open the ponies! ^-^ Its so nice when they are loose, they look lovely together, takes up so much less space, and its so relaxing to comb their hair! =P I started collecting them in-box at first but space became an issue quick. Having them opened helped me soooo much during moving and finding somewhere to put them all in one spot.  However I keep my special large talking ponies, funkos, and my 2012 SDCC in the box for display reasons. Im not  selling mine, but some people who plan on selling their entire collection for profit usually keep them in-box. I know a lot of serious collectors and most of them actually store them loose!

Its really up to you, your collection your rules! Do what would make you comfortable!

I've also noticed that loose ponies (G4) tend to sell faster than the MIB ones because people don't want to pay the additional shipping!
