Bought my first iPad mini (16gb) yesterday. This is my first time owning a new Apple product. My second gen iPod was a hand me down. So any tricks, tips or just talking about iPads. I'm in love with this thing. Mine is black & it's name is Blackhawk. Yes, I'm a hockey fan.

I haven't used an iPad, although I am curious about them. I do have an iPod touch that I like, and an iPhone that I'm loving.

And iPod is essentially an iPad mini. I have no idea why they bothered to make an iPad mini, because it's just another iPod. Since they are all the same thing, I guess you could look at it as  Small, Medium, and Large LOL

They are pretty intuitive to use. It's hard to explain how to use them because they are so simple. But if you are curious to know how to do something specific, or if it can do something special, please ask. Otherwise, just play around with it a bit and I bet you will have it mastered within minutes.

Pinching motion makes things shrink!  Moving your fingers outward from the pinch makes things expand.

you'll wanna double tap the button every now and then to see what programs you have running, just hold your finger over them to get them to show x's and you'll end them. all that is is a multitask bar and keeps them running in the background for quick opening.

Thanks for the information everyone. I'm just curious to know any tips, given I've only used PC's before.

So far I haven't run into any major glitches, between my friend (a long time Apple/Mac owner) and the iPad user manual. Most of my questions have been answered.

My apologies for responding so late, my laptop (so far) is more comfortable to type on. While I'm still learning how to type, on my ipad.
