Sparkle Persona for Jupi!! And Styling Dragon WIP for Saja!

Jupi commissioned me awhile back to make her a Bdragonized persona. I LOVE making sparkle ponies, so I KNEW it was going to have a "Metal Flake" look. I got a bit stuck on the symbol, but Jupi helped me out by letting me know her favorite things!

I modeled the ferret after one of her first furkids, Chibi.

Painted with Acrylics, Createx Airbrush paints (symbol) and LOADS of layered glitter in 3 different sizes. This has been SEALED with Triple Thick gloss so NO glitter loss.

Hair is DH Candytuft, Mermaid (i'm pretty sure) and Snowflake. Chibi's eye is a Swarovski Crystal in Magma.

And also another custom I am working on for Saja--A new Styling sized Dragon! I'm up to 1.5 lbs of apoxie sculpt. Now he goes to cleanup and sanding and then paint!

Quite possibly the sparkliest pony I have ever seen and I WANT ONE! I tried to do a similar thing with some doll shoes a few weeks back and unfortunately the dye all came off the glitter, into the varnish, and made it all misty and horrid. Sadness.

Also that dragon is drop-dead-amazing! Can't WAIT to see him done!

Heehee I'm so happy you like him! I used very very very many layers of glitter It's a refined technique of glittering, painting and clear coating.

I'll actually be making some more of these, I've had them on the back burner for awhile--I used to make them much more frequently. Try using Triple Thick clear coat paintable as the sealant--it normally doesn't react to glitter even if it is not chemical resistant.

I actually use all brands of glitter--the clear I use does not react to the glitter. Some glitters are not chemical resitant so you have to be careful about what you use. I learned this pouring resin and ruining quite a few. The iridescent stuff on the dragon is fantasy film also called Angelina film (and other things I'm sure!) I love this stuff sooo much it's very easy to use and play with!
