Rehairs, Slippy Slidey(chief) Rips (ribs) and Lock It (locket) lol

So my 4yr old daughter just loves to be part of the rehairing process she likes to dry them when they have been scrubbed clean, and she holds the body while I rehair the head. She likes to know there names, tho when asked what there called she gets mixed up and confused, its so cute. so these have been renamed Slippy Slidey (chief) Rips (baby ribs) and Lock It (locket)

Well Slippy slidey made me giggle so hard I had to write it down straight away. I love that she is so interested, I hope she remains interested id love a daughter to do this with.

Bet you will.  Mine is now doing hand over hand rehairing for a few plugs.  Helping decide on colors, etc.  Fun times!

Rips hair is beautiful! Wow! And the flutter I have one, but I always forget his name  & mine has really puffy ragged out hair, so some day when I get to him on the list maybe I can hire you to rehair mine too.

I'm totally drooling over that Locket and Chief!  They are a couple in my herd (as they were in my childhood).  Absolutely gorgeous!

Oh! You rererooted a baby boy? How hard was it to get the head off, and then back on again? I have a baby boy who desperately needs new hair, but I'm scared of messing him up by taking his head off...

I put boiled water in a jug, drop him in for a few mins, then his head just pops off. but you have to get the plastic plug out, really really carefully. Use haemostats and very very carefully pry it apart, also I cut a half circle in the plug on his body to get the tail in an out. its easy enough to do, and once rehaired and dryed, you glue the base plug back in, and glue the plastic plug in the head part then let it all dry, and push it back together an it works perfectly. My very first one I busted the plastic plug, but it was just snapped in half, easy enough to super glue back together. so I do it slower now, an haven't had any issues since, just be patient!!
