tru. Price match

I was just at tru and they had some bb from wave 5 , i found many i liked so at the time to pay i asked them about price match to walmarts 2.47 and they asked me to show the site , i was not able to find it but i showed them the price for the whole box on hasbro site, it was going to be around to be less than 2 dllrs , but they gave me the match with walmart at the end, 1.22 less per bb

My local TRU has the RC vehicles for $19.00 and they are at Walmart for $23. I had pictures for proof and even pulled it up online for a price match and they still would not bring the price down! =O I talked to a manager about the rude cashier and got my way. ^-^ I should have bought at TRU though....stupid Walmart wanting more money! Our Blind Bags at Walmart are now $2.38! Like yeah... might go to Target or somethin' =/

TRU has always had a Price Match Guarantee if you bring the print sales ad into them.  Of course they can't match clearance prices, promotional sales, close-out sales, or door-buster sales that are in-store only or NOT advertised in the flyer. 

Individual store managers and file clerks often make the final decision on prices - say one supermarket has too many boxes of bananas - the manager will mark them down to $0.30 a pound...  but that absolutely does not mean that you can have a competitor's store price match it!  If the produce was in the sales ad for that price, then of course that's a price match, but it's unfair to take advantage of the retailer if an independent decision was made on an individual basis in ONE store. 

Just save your sales flyers and put them in a binder when you go shopping.  See higher prices?  Pull out your ads, find a manager, and request the price match.  Don't have the paper copies?  Seriously... for the amount of time you are going to spend?  Just buy the silly thing!  By the time you have driven to 3 stores, and spent more than an hour, you have wasted any possible savings!
