should i rehair a takara mlp? now with updated picture

please move if not in the right forum but i got my first takara baby pony  yay.

i am guessing its a fakie as its not one of the two babies on the wiki site, she is well made but the stamps on the bottom i can hardly read, she has pink body with blue hair (or whats left of it)

she will look beautiful with new hair and i have blue, should i rehair, keep to blue of go for a fun different colour
does it matter much with fakies, do they have a value?

Congrats to your first takara baby! They are so precious even though I would also guess you hava a fakie, so cute you could die A fakie takara baby is worth roughly 30-50$ depending on condition. Sometimes lower if really baity.
I would say go ahead and rehair, it might even make the value higher if done nicely! I have several babies and some have new hair and they look so much nicer with thick shiny hair instead of that frizzy thin hair most have these days. If you want to add antoher colour I would also say do it! For me I always choose same colour they are in originally, but I don´t think it will affect the value if you decide to change it. In my opinion it´s totally up to you what you want to do with her!

If it was a real takara, I would advise against it, but if it's one of the fakie takara babies, I see no issue with doing so I'm pretty sure I've seen people do so in the past, and they can look pretty cute with different/more substantial hair

From your description, it sounds like a fakie. I could be wrong.

I have two fakie babies and the yellow one has been rehaired  ( I bought them both off Bandit Pony LOL )
I was thinking about redoing the blue one with a nicer silkier yellow. I have Electric Banana, Lemonade and Lemon Drop from Dollyhair but can't decide which would look cooler.

they are the most gorgeous things ever, i am so excited

here is the before picture i took when she arrived with the other fakie, i have cleaned her and she has come up a treat
but the hair is terrable and there is no tail just holes (one row)

i think i will do the same @ baby_gusty and keep to her original colour i was going to go for a lighter paler colour,
she reminds me of firefly with that colouring
