Ew... Getting gum out of pony hair?
« on: April 09, 2013, 07:10:35 PM »
I was out thrifting recently and managed to find  Twilight Sparkle with bangs (packaged in a baggie with a few other random toys) and didn't notice that she had gum in her hair until I got home. :yikes:

What's the best way to get it out (if possible)? I'm assuming peanut butter would do it, but I don't want to do anything before getting any advice.  ^^;

I don't think that the peanut butter/mayonaise trick would hurt a pony in the least bit.. After the gum comes out just make sure to wash her throughout with shampoo a few times... unless you want her to smell like a reeses cup!

Olive oil, freezing her may work for breaking off big parts I know I had to do that to several barbie dolls as a kid.

Olive oil? Detergent? I never knew those could remove gum from anything.  :lol: PB is what I have on hand right now but I'm glad to know it'll work.

Thanks everyone!

I have always used Johnsons Baby Oil for such things! But normally a trip in the freezer for 24 hours first and then the oil works best for me!

Good luck!
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi :hug:
