Thought I'd show my first ponies - now with visible pics!!

...but I'm such a newbie that I had to go searching to find out who they all are!!  lol  WARNING:  this post will be pic heavy!  Um, that is, if I can get the pics in here properly. 

This first batch I got on Ebay and are all G3s.  Most seem in fairly good shape with only a few marks, rubs, etc and all are in need of some serious hair treatments!

Then, just yesterday, I was browsing in one of our local church thrift stores and found a ziplock bag of ponies for a dollar!  I knew right away that there was at least one (probably 2 fakies) but there were definitly two G3s and a G4!  Here is the group together:

Also included in the shot is my lovely assistant, Rocky, who somehow managed to get at least a paw into every shot!  lol

These ponies are all in considerably rougher shape than the Ebay lot, with lots of markings and dirt on them.  Poor Bee Bop has even been chewed on and is missing an ear.

Whew!!  Hope I didn't overdo it with the pics! 

Just want to say a HUGE thank you to the hard working creator(s) of strawberryreef.com who helped me to identify all the new members of my herd!  I wouldn't have had a clue without that fabulous resource!!

The first of the unidentified ponies is a McDonald's happy meal Lily blossom. The Second one is a G3 Star song McDonald's happy meal toy. Good job on finding them! They are all pretty,even if they need a little TLC.

Those are some very nice ponies Bee Bop just needs a hairstyle to camouflage that missing ear, unless you are more talented and ambitious about restoring ponies than I am. I have a few that are missing parts in my herd

Oh, I already have some plans for Bee Bop.    I'm not new to sculpting with polymer clay (and I tend to think big!  lol) so there is some plastic surgery in Bee Bop's future!

Thank you!  As for favorites, I have to admit to being partial to some of the G1s.  My favorites from my childhood were Medley, Heartthrob and Gusty.  I'm not fond of the G2's or G4's I'm afraid, I much prefer the classic MLP styling.  So far, I really like what I see of the G3's, though I think I preferred the tinsel-less hair.  No must-haves yet...give me a few more days!  lol

Of my current herd (all of whom are in the first post) my faves are Finger Paints and Kimono - probably because of the combos of body color, pose and hair colors.  Not fond of the symbols though, so if I can clean up their hair and bodies to my satisfaction, I may just take off their symbols and give them new identities.

Love her hair and her pose!  Pretty sure she's going to get a symbol redo though.  As long as I can get her nice and shining white again and save her hair I won't change anything else!
