Did anyone actually order mail-order Ponies?

The only one I ever got was blue Ember. If I remember right, the order I checked them in was purple, pink the blue.. but I guess they had run out of the other two and I got blue. I loved her anyway and still have her!

The only mail order pony I remember getting is Baby Stockings from Rice Krispies cereal.  Of course they put the order form and points on the biggest boxes of cereal.  I got so sick of eating Rice Krispies and my parents wouldn't buy a different cereal until I ate the ones I had.

I remember begging my Ma to get me the Blue Baby Ember. I wanted that pony so badly. I never did get any of the mailorder ponies until I was like 30...LOL. When the G3s came out I OD'd on the mailorders. 3 Dazzles, probably 4 or 5 Sunshimmers and countless Love Wishes. I also took advantage of the Hasbro shipping glitch and got 2 giant Frilly Frocks shipped to me for $1.50 shipping plus the hundreds of Dollar Tree coloring book pony points I'd hoarded.

I miss collecting.

I got a couple of the MO sparkle ponies as a kid.  And then one of the g3s MO too (we only got the one in Australia).  I was also in the My Little Pony fan club in the 80s so I got a lot of MO stuff through them

Oh yeah, some of my childhood birthday presents were mail orders!    I eagerly bought ponies for the G3 points program and JUSTMISSED Frilly Frocks!   

I would LOVE to have the program back once more, but I know how difficult it is to coordinate those things to make a profit.  Actually, you rarely/never make a profit on these things and that is why Hasbro likely won't do them again.

I had both the TAF baby set and mo sparkle set as a kid mum ordered them for me AND I still have them.  I was also in the activity club I think it was called too :-)

My mom MO'd baby blue Ember and Lucky for me I was SO excited... I remember dreaming and drooling over the MO stuff... I wanted Tux and Baby Dancing Butterflies but alas, I had to wait till adulthood for those!

I had my parents order me a pair of baby Embers as a kid. As a grown-up, I ordered Sunshimmer.

I wish I could have gotten mail order ponies, but they always ran out by the time I had enough points And with all do honesty, at this point I am truly baffled. Hasbro did mail order for the G2 Littlest Pet Shops, but not for the G4 MLP. One would think that Hasbro would do mail orders for the one that sells better and has a bigger fan base... Then again, maybe it would just be too many orders for team Hasbro to handle

For a while it was easier for my mom to order ponies than buy them in the store, as we lived in a small town only accessible by plane or boat.   Not all of the ponies she got through the mail from Hasbro were MO exclusive though.   Of the ones that were, we got:

Pearly Baby Surprise
all the MO Sparkle Ponies
Satin N Lace (Lavender version)
Tux N Tails
Baby Clipper

I still have all of them except Baby Clipper, who was stolen by one of my sister's friends shortly after he arrived. 

From what I understand, my mother also tried to order Birthflower ponies, but she never received them. :/



And then when G2s were out I ordered Seabreeze with my pony points, and the same with the G3 MO ponies when they came out.   At that point, as an adult, I was buying so many pony items, I was sitting on mountains of pony points.   I was able to give other people points for Frilly Frocks, after getting my own, I had so much to spare.   I caught the shipping glitch, like several other people, but stupidly only ordered one Frilly.   Of course, she takes up a lot of space that I don't have, so it is probably for the better!

As a kid, one of my cousins managed to save up and order pearly baby Surprise. I loved her bright yellow hair. Since most of my ponies where hand me downs or the random bought one (had to hide them from my father, he was very "girl toys are only for girls").

So the points never added up for me. When G3's where released, I started saving points and had enough. But never got around to ordering anything, it wasn't the same as the G1 days.

There's a reason Sky Rocket is in my signature, I always wanted her.

I think the only mail orders I received was the g1 christmas baby and the g3 sunshimmer and I can't remember the other one.

As an 'international' collector, I used to dream about getting the mail orders... to no avail... it was so depressing, having everything I needed except a US address!
