Hello ! Considering how awesome you guys are, I want to ask for feedback here first !

I want to pursue a business making plush art dolls. I will be buying a sewing machine on my birthday so I can do things faster. Meanwhile, I'll practice making MH and MLP clothing, as well as small plushies (I need funds lol).

Now, I wanted to ask a few questions that will help me shape my business before anything else. For now, I have 10 questions to make. You don't have to answer all of them, but if you could it would be great

Cats, or any Stitch (from Lilo & Stitch).

No, unless you stuff 'em with wheat
- How important are your toys to you?
My plushies are EXTREMELY important, I love them. If my house were to burn down, they wouold be the first things I'd grab. Especially my childhood ones, and my Stitch collection.
- Do you collect plushies?
Yes. Lilo & Stitch plushes, or any sad, needing home plushes I find at carboots that are in excellent condition (I can't take dirty ones, it freaks me out as I am allergic to heavy dust. Nearly all my rescued plushes unless already clean get a bath.
- What size is perfect to you when it comes to plushies?
Bigger than 10cm. I don't really mind, but I wouldn't want any bigger than 30".
- Did you ever wish your plushies could move/be poseable when you were a kid? Did/do you own any like this?
No, not plushies. Only plastic action figures that I had. I wanted cuddly, soft, non-poseable ones. Still do!
- Did/do you think of your plushies as characters in an imagined world?
Well, Stitch is a film, so I see him as my pet (I guess I'm kinda Lilo, but I'm me and just imagine Stitch as my pet)

I love and adore plushies! I'm a 26-year-old female.

- What animals do you prefer as plushies?

I pretty much loved any neat and unique plushie, but I really enjoyed seeing specific breeds of cats and dogs, especially. And cats the most. It's harder to find good cat plushies than dog plushies.

I also like human character plushies, if it's a character I'm really nuts about. It's fun to cuddle those.

- Did/do you give personalities/make stories for your plushies/toys?

They have names (if they're not licensed characters already), and sometimes personalities and backstories.

- Do you play with them or just display them?

When I was little I played with them a lot. I mostly just display and cuddle and talk to them now.

- Are you allergic to anything plushies have?

Not that I know of. And I have plushies made of a great many materials.

- How important are your toys to you?

Extremely important. It's easier for me just to get through the days with them around.

- Do you collect plushies?

I still do. Mainly licensed characters now, but if I see a really good cat or fish plushie, I want.

- What size is perfect to you when it comes to plushies?

Ummm ... depends on the animal. I usually like cat plushies to be around the sizes of real housecats, but fish plushies, naturally, have to be bigger than your average house fish. And dogs generally need to be smaller than real dogs, if they're big dogs, and I usually prefer big dog breed plushies. Dog plushies are probably usually around 15, 16 inches tall at the most.

- Did you ever wish your plushies could move/be poseable when you were a kid? Did/do you own any like this?

Not really. I do own a couple like that, though, but I prefer non-posable and softer.

- Did/do you think of your plushies as characters in an imagined world?

Sometimes. Usually I think of them as being in our world, though.

I love seeing my favorite TV characters as plushes (MLP, Pokemon, etc.)

Every little stuffed animal that I had as a kid had a name and background story, but lately I don't feel the need to go that far in-depth.

It depends on my mood! Sometimes I feel like taking pictures, so I'll set my plushies is varying poses for the camera- but as for actual playing, not so much.
- Are you allergic to anything plushies have?
I'm not allergic to anything
- How important are your toys to you?
VERY. I've been collecting MLP and Pokemon ever since I was a kid
- Do you collect plushies?
I don't collect them in the same sense as I do MLP, but I do have a good number of them
- What size is perfect to you when it comes to plushies?
Something manageable, but still hugable (about a foot tall or so)
- Did you ever wish your plushies could move/be poseable when you were a kid? Did/do you own any like this?
I never minded that they weren't poseable, and I still don't :p
- Did/do you think of your plushies as characters in an imagined world?
I used to love giving them dramatic situations to work through, but now they mostly just hang around

Unusual ones! These days I will only get myself a plushie of an animal I haven't seen many of, such as insects, arachnids, crustaceans etc.

no, I like them as one unit mainly because joints on plushies look a bit wonky to me and I'm afraid I will damage them.

Only when I was a kid, but now they are just cute little toys on display

Im not very specific, i dont ever go looking for them, usually they just catch my eye, i like brightly colored things usually

I did when I was little..... But now that's hard to do with over 2,000 plushies. I'm NOT kidding! My collection is at least that big!

Play with them. Snuggle with them. Display some of the more rare/expensive ones. Still as an adult I can't get to sleep at night without a stuffed animal.

Any. As a child I had many cats, dogs, and bears, but that may have been based more on what was available to me at the time - I branched out more during the Beanie Baby craze.

Yes, I gave them names (if not already provided and no duplication occurred - i.e. my first Ken doll remained Ken), relationships to other toys (Steve and Sam are brothers, etc.), and a casual hierarchy (Teddy Rosefelt was the biggest, most important teddy bear, and was clothed in one of my dad's Hawaiian shirts as a badge of honor - but he was a hands-off, benevolent ruler, more looked up to for his wisdom and advice).

Display nowadays, though sometimes they're nice to take down and mess around with for a little bit. Arranging how they're displayed is probably fun enough that it counts as playing, too. And I have few enough ponies that I still count hairstyling as play

No.

- How important are your toys to you?
Depends on the toy. As a general rule of thumb, childhood toys are very important due to nostalgia, and the toys I obtain now are based on my interests and what I'd like to get for myself, and therefore are important based on that. I still begrudge a few toys lost long ago enough to want to reobtain them someday, though I readily admit wanting another pair of Teen Skipper glasses is just me being stubborn.

- Do you collect plushies?
No

- What size is perfect to you when it comes to plushies?
Nothing bigger than my ribcage, and if it's smaller than a baseball it'd better still be soft and squishy (or entertainingly floppy) and fuzzy (see below). Everything in between in perfect for cuddling, and doesn't take up too much room!

No, a toy's non-...poseableness has never been a problem for me. I had a tiny poseable Steiff knockoff as a kid, but it was so small and skinny it wasn't very cuddly, so I didn't care much for it.

No - even if I gave them a bit of personality, they still resided in the same world as I did.

I've already experience fire damaged toys and was upset how little insurance company will pay you to replace ones that you can't find anymore, I even over priced them to make up the the fact they were going to depreciate the value, they depreciate the value way way to much!! apparently non of them have gone 'toy' shopping before.

 yes and no. pose-able generally makes me think 'hard' overly stuffed with hard joint pieces and I want my plushies soft and squishy. I have one that moved its head in a circle to music. I was always afraid I would break it. I love plushies that make music if there is enough stuffing to prevent you from feeling the box inside. I had a girl doll that moved it head to music that scared the bajesus out of me cause she would go off randomly.

 no, only if they are character from another world to begin with.. example: I have the orange furry baby alien from the movie Chicken Little.
