This is the only one that I know of.

http://pokebeach.com/

I can't say what the fourm is like. I don't think I ever signed up.... But I know some Pokemon fans IRL that love it.

I don't know about Pokémon communities but I'd try the ones listed above.

There is Pokemon Collectors on Live Journal. Or at least I think they are still around. They trade and sell pokemon stuff. Check it out. :)

I miss being a poke' fan.
For some reason I really lost interest when they added more to the original 150.
I understand why they did I guess, but those new poke'mon are never the same to me.
It's like G1 VS G2

I actually like a lot of the new pokemon better than the old ones....But maybe I'm a wierdo..(I also like G3 better than all over pony gens)
The movesets are better and the abilities added depth to the pokemon not in previous generations.
Pokemon fans are always welcome back, it could be fun to explore again!

I also signed up for pokebeach, it looks good so far, but I may also try Seribii, I go there for news but I guess I didn't realize they have forums too XD

OMG!  I'll have to look, I'm wanting some Skitty merchandise too!
Thanks so much for the tip!

If you like the dynamics of this forum, I think the Pokémon collectors community on LiveJournal would be right down your alley. It's primarily focused on Pokémon merchandise, and it's full of awesome, honest people.

I've been on and off with Pokemon recently. I never had an interest in the card series, TV series got to about 4th generation before stopped watching (films are the exception though)

Game wise, currently waiting for Gates to Infinity to come over here (curse UK release dates)
I still haven't played Black 2, despite getting it day 1 (got to second gym leader before stopping

Will be getting the new 6th gen game though

Please do keep us posted on how these sites work out, HolliBell - my son and I would love to find a safe, fun place for Pokéfans! ^.^  I've been playing since Red & Blue came out, he's been playing since kindergarten (coincidentally, with my old Red cartridge...) - and we're both avidly awaiting the new games come fall.

Wishlist - I'm back on (semi-) active buying again... can't buy everything on my wish list all at once (yay, back-to-school and tuition fees), but I am still looking to plump up my collection a bit more: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,380638.0.html
