Is sunfading the best for Twilight?
« on: April 01, 2013, 02:01:17 AM »
Not so long ago my mother gaved me a G1 Twilight she won in an Auction. But she isnt completely pink. Its like her colours wore off and under the pink is some yellowish white. Can Sunfading get rid of this? It will be hard btw because our house and most windows are located on the north and south so the sun wont directly shine to the pony.

Here's a picture of her condition atm:

That's an Italian twilight isn't it? Just looking at the eyes...

To be honest I'm not sure much can be done for her as she is :(

She's an italian one indeed yes. I jsut wish there was a way to make her beautifull again. :( I also found this fact of Italin ponies on Strawberryreef:

US ponies, italian white ponies rarely yellow, but pink ponies are very likely to fade. Their overall quality tends to not be as good as US or French released ponies, but better than Greek or Spanish ponies.

The best result you're likely to get with sunfading is that she turns completely white. Italian pink ponies are indeed very prone to fading. My Italian Cotton Candy is nearly white as well. Don't know why Twilight would end up so blotchy though. Badly mixed dye phaps?

Unfortunately you wont be able to fade the white out as its not a stain its simply that the pink has already bleached out which is super common on the Italian ponies of this particular colour - Twilight and Firefly particularly. Give her a little more time and she will completely fade to white to be honest - and she will look absolutely lovely that colour!

I am sure an initial clean up in the meantime to remove some of the grubbyness will make all the difference until she fades out! :)
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
