Are you categorizing "to your shoulders" as long?  I think of shoulder length to your mid back as being average and long as being anything past mid back.

You might get a lot of people with short to average hair lengths picking that category and mixing with people who have very long hair.

My hair varies. On one side its a little bit past my shoulder, at the back its about as long as my neck (which needs to be chopped off ASAP) and gets longer as it goes to the sides, and on the other side it reaches down mid-boob.

It could really use some trimming and cutting, so hopefully we go back down to California soon.
