Hello
« on: March 27, 2013, 03:23:06 PM »
Hi,

I'm 26 and have recently become a fan of the 'friendship of magic'. That is not to say that I'm new to My Little Pony- while I may not remember the previous generation show, I do remember and still have the toys from when I was six (somewhere).

Strangely enough, besides the plastic MLP figures, I also collected My littlest Pet Shops- my interest in both slightly renewed by buying the blind bags for the new incarnation of both series with this site rather ideal for these interests.

Thanks so much,
Sunny(side)

Welcome to the Arena! What generation toys do you think you still have? I am just curious. I used to collect LPS..but I stopped and gave them all to my sister a few years ago.

Hi there and a very warm welcome! :hiya: I had lots of Littlest Pet Shop when I was a child too. I still find the vintage ones more appealing than the modern ones, how about you?

Whoops!

I mistook the initials for MLP, when you were asking me about LPS.  Oh, I'm not sure, I remember my first being the Shetland ponies with the mare and foal--but I also had ones like the Shamu Seaworld set, the igloos with the huskies, and so on.  I had quite the collection, and they were constantly on my Christmas and birthday wishlists, so I wasn't much of the hard-to-get for kids.

I do have some of the newer ones to.  They're...different.  Not bad, just different.

They're all adorable.  But I think I do prefer the older ones.  The vintage LPS looked more like little real animals, the modern ones--they're a bit too bobbly headed and bug-eyed, but still cute in the way pugs are creepy, but cute.  I have a few of the newer ones because my mom was at Costco and they had a variety pack--I think I was 20 and my mom still buys me toys.
