Love that new pony smell!

I have a new kettle and whenever it boils, the plastic base smells like a new G1 pony :D

Nostalgia trip every time I make a cup of tea.

Heh, I've never experienced that... and G4s are not so good, especially not the blind bags! Every time I got a blind bag duplicate, I'd put it in a small plastic bag to eventually send to my boyfriend when it got full. Before packaging it, I opened it up, and a smell like gasoline hit me. I was like, "... woah. That can't be healthy." xD

I'd be a bit concerned about the plastic smells from the kettle. It sounds like it's definitely giving off fumes. I can't find the article right now, but I saw a government study (if I'm remembering right) that tested cooking plastics and found that they gave off harmful fumes at much lower temperatures than claimed by the manufacturers.

I love that new pony smell!  I have a MGR Sparkler that still kinda has it, and my Moondancer smells of the pony puffy stickers (vanilla-y/baby-powder-y)...  Mmmmm... ^.^

What kind of kettle do you have, and where can I get my hooves on one?

My pony room has gotten that smell- not quite as good as opening up a G1, but still pretty awesome! I was just closing to door to keep the pets out so they didn't do anything bad, but the bonus is that every time I open the room, it smells like pony!

I would be a little worried about a teakettle that smelled like plastic- not to rain on your awesome-smelling parade, just don't want you to poison yourself. Especially not with tea!

Ah, so the plastic never touches the water? Ok, then! Make some tea and sniff, my friend! Fill the house with the glorious smell of fresh pony!
