It doesn't feel like spring

With 10-20ºF weather and 2 feet of snow on the ground in spots, it doesn't feel like spring or Ostara yet. Normally on the 21st I'd have gone for a nice long walk in the park but there was no way so I'm postponing spring celebrations of the outdoor kind. But to get my mind set that its spring I decided to set up a pony scene in my room today. Spring ponies out and about and babies doing an egg hunt. I would have used jelly beans as pony-sized eggs but I didn't have any so I just balled up some playdoh.

Tattles and Noddins are bunny symbol cousins who are filling a basket together.

There's always ducklings with G1 puzzle artwork so I had to include some ducklings, who are very good at finding eggs

That is a cute little set up. I know that its sucks it does not feel like spring. We are getting snow right now as I write this. But we can maybe look at it this way. Maybe this summer will not be so hot and dry like last year. Last year at this time it was in the 70's for weeks already. I do want spring and summer to get here, but then I would love to have a nice summer to :)

Oh yes, I'm glad there will be water water everywhere this year once it melts, but I'm terrible with the cold. Last year there were so many turtles squashed on the road by my place because the nearby pond was getting too empty and I'm sure too many turtles in too little space so they went out looking for less crowded territory. I stopped a bunch of times and brought them back to the pond knowing they wouldn't find alternate water sources before getting run over.

Those playdough eggies look goodv enough to eat. Just wishing they would br real jelly beans or chocolate eggs mmmmm. Happy Ostara : )

Happy spring!  Even if it gets to you late (we just got whumped with more snow, woo), it still feels wonderful when the :sunny: lasts longer like it's begun to. ^.^

That's a really cute set-up, makes me feel much springier, thank you. ^.^

It doesn't help that Easter is early either.
Easter should be sunny, with bluebells and daffodils. Not rain, snow and cold.
Maybe this half Easter/spring (please excuse the background :blush:, I can't find a pretty backing) kinda piccy will help too!

Awww..your Easter display is fabulous!! We have crappy weather here too, it's been spitting snow off and on all day.  So your pictures cheered me up!

Your display is beautiful! Such lovely bright scenes! It's snowing here right now! It's been freezing for ages, had no Spring at all so far!  >_<It was gloriuosly hot and sunny this time last year!

it has been warming up where i live, it is basically impossible to get snow here. just lots of wind, rain, and sometimes hail.
