Torrid and their weird sales.

Okay, I haven't purchased from them YET. I'm eyeing something, they advertise 50% off on ALL of a particular section. The thing I want is in this section. but the price isn't half it's the price it's been for a month or two now yet when I email.... I get the 'lol that sale ended and anyway, that is the cheaper price' and I just tilted my head and accepted it.

Now I get another email with the same specials. The thing I want is STILL in the special sections. and still at full price and even in the cart it isn't discounted.

And I actually read the fine print, it does say 'includes in store and online products'.

Is it time to go  rabblerabblerabble in their inbox. Or just. give up on it and go elsewhere even though there's no where else to go for what I want. I'm looking for high rise/waisted skinny jeans in a plus size. That are are dark blue or a blue black and of decent quality ie- not that fuzzy denim. I want that durable nice smooth denim that the non-plus sizes get for super cheap.

....Oh. Apparently, Bogo means buy one get one 50% off. How was I suppose to see that from that kind of abbreviation? And thank you for the offer, I'll keep it in mind for when there's an actual sale! HAHA!

But Torrid is a UK company.  I'm always interested to learn about what cultural things we have in North America that aren't elsewhere... I guess the concept of a 10 for 10 sale is also NOT something they do in the Southern Hemisphere?  We have tons of sales incentives and ploys that aren't apparently in other countries!

well we do have such specials, but they're rare and they don't get abbreviated because there could be misunderstandings like the one I had. For example- if people find a tag and it says $2, and there's no item description, they'll just assume everything on a 10 meter long self is $2 and demand that pricing. Or if you sayd 'Buy one get one free' you have to name the exact product and the grams or whatever. or the same thing, they'll think EVERYTHING is that special on that rack. We have different laws here to stop customers screwing people over and at the same time to protect the customer and so they get entitled to their product at the advertises price.

For example the email said 'BOGO JEANS 50%' And that was pretty much it. You'd get into strife if you did that here, you'd have to say 'Buy one, get second item 50%off' or something to that degree.

Also if Torrid is UK based... Why are there only stores in America?

Don't feel bad it took me forever awhile back to know what the heck BOGO meant? I had to ask my mom and she laughed because she knew and I did not. I thought it was a brand name for ages.
