Aaaaaaarrrgggghhhh!!! *RESOLVED*
« on: March 21, 2013, 05:04:11 PM »
I ordered a MIB pony from overseas and it arrived more Mashed In Box than Mint...darn it! I kind of have to laugh at it...the postal disservice really did a number on her and the packaging she came in! Lol
Oh, well. I sent the company an email, so now it's just a waiting game. Shipping was REALLY fast, though...
Does anyone else have a story about something going wrong with a mail order or auction site pony?

I must say, I don't think it's ever happened to me but I know it's a common thing!

I hope your pony wasn't damaged too badly? :)

No, she seems to be Ok, as are her accessories, I just like the packaging and wanted to display her is all...now all I can do is splay her...aw, truly terrible...

That sucks to hear it came to you like that. I have gotten some Breyer horses in the mail before and wondered how they made it to me in one piece?

Are you sure it was the post office that did it? Some sellers don't know any better and will stuff a MIB item into a too-small box. :/ Either way I'd contact the seller and ask them about it. I hope you can get some kind of refund or something; that's kind of unacceptable!

Back in the early 00's I mailed myself my VCR player from new york to alaska and then I flew up there. When I got it 1/2 the box was literally torn off and was replaced with a ton of priority mail tape  >_<

I also got a package returned to me from italy like 2 years after i sent it

That sucks. I would be so unhappy if that happened to me. At least the pony wasn't damaged.

Man, sucks that the package is ruined on something you wanted to keep mint in box.

I ordered a plush from out of the country once.
When it got to me, it looked like someone had repeatedly slammed the box against the wall, and then released a wildcat on it.
It had several holes in it.
The plush, luckily, was perfectly fine. Exactly how it escaped damage I'll never know, but I'm glad it did.

Chucks free ponies...  :throw:

That is so sad, and weird. I always picture postal workers playing soccer/football with my box while they are on break. It's the only way to explain some of the box damage I have seen.

I have one incident where I bought a couple of ponies on ebay and they were shipped in a 2nd hand bubble mailer which hadn't been sealed properly. One of the ponies had come loose, when I received them there was only one pony in the package. I wrote a note out asking the postie if they'd spotted a lone pony floating about the depot and they did!!!! She arrived the next day with a lady postie who said it was such a weird thing to have loose it was bound to have been mine!!

So sorry your MIB was damaged though  :(  especially if you have paid more because it was MIB.  I hope the shippers can help you out, sadly many people don't understand the need for the packaging to be pristine as long as the pony itself is ok.

In my email to them I politely explained that I display the ponies on my wall and really like the European packaging...that had the pony been for play only it wouldn't have been such and issue. It also wasn't as described...though the picture was the same as what I got, the description was totally different, and since description usually trumps pic I figured I'd take a shot. NOPE. Oh well. I'm sure it won't be a problem, they have way excellent feedback, so all should be good!

I wish someone would randomly send me a TE Bright Eyes and TE Mimic, I've not really come across many damaged parcels, had a few vague descriptions though. My g1 Raspberry Jam was described as having a couple of pen marks, it was a lot more than a couple I can assure you
