Who is this doll?
« on: March 21, 2013, 02:07:59 PM »
I have had this doll for as long as I can remember and I am a 1983 model. I'm wondering what sort of doll she is? Also it's been bugging me for years that I was so sure she had a horse as well, but I don't know if I'm remebering that right because I can't find this horse. She also had a shield that I clearly remember but can't find. She used to have more hair.

Maybe a Golden Girl figure?
Nirvana grails:  Reverse Gusty (upgrade), Peru Windy and Moonstone (upgrade), Brazil TAF upgrades, Argie Powder w/ white hair (upgrade), French Windy and Moondancer (upgrades), Spain TAF's, TE's, and piggies.  These are my biggest wants, but I'm looking for tons more nirvanas, especially Greeks, Brazilians, and Peruvians.  Feel free to PM me for sales or trades.  But please note that I'm also fairly picky.

Maybe a Golden Girl figure?

That would be my guess as well...though I can't seem to find her on the website I have bookmarked, lol.

For hard to identify dolls I recommend the Ghost of the Doll forum.
I had a Tenko and the Guardians of Magic doll and horse that i was finding impossible to identify by myself and I posted on Ghost of the Doll and within an hour someone had an ID for me.

She may loook like a Golden Girl to you, but she is not, the same site I referenced above shows ALL the Golden Girl actiion figures,
http://darah.com/collection/goldengirl/toyguide.asp
and she doesn't match ANY of them, :) NONE of them have green hair

Information on "fakie" brands is often difficult to find, especially pre-Internet days.  What a fascinating doll, though...

I have a MIP Golden Girl outfit but I find the dolls a little freaky-looking.  Like some of the crazy villains in anime!

Yeah, I agree, the dolls are kinda ugly (especially compared to the She-Ra figures, who manage to look both strong *and* beautiful).  The Golden Girl chariots are awesome, though!  Have you ever seen those?

Thank you for the help everybody :D, I'm happy to finally know she really came with a horse. I always thought she was cool so I played with her a lot, poor thing is a bit beat up but I guess she is a warrior and should handle it ^^. Some day, when I have my own house to store all my stuff at I might find the horse. Most of my childhood books and toys where stored in a old house my grandparents have on their farm. I have taken some of the stuff out, but I haven't gone through all of it as my mum spread stuff all over the house and some is mixed with her stuff.

I might have to get one in better condition :). I think these type dolls fall in to my ugly but in a good way category

She's pretty cool!  If if she is a fakie of a fakie or whatever she is.  I had She-ra's and some Guardian Girls as a little girl.  I loved She-ra because of they were so pretty but I thought the Guardian Girls were pretty cool because of the color combinations, weird facial paint, the little hats & crowns, the cloaks, and the weird jaggid swords!  I really like her.  lol  She reminds me of my childhood.
