I used to think her colours were "meh" and I didn't like her personality either.
But after "I am not whining, I am complaining" she suddenly looks totally different in my eyes. She's no longer a whiny prissy fragile brat, but instead an independent pony woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it. Major difference!
