So I have a question for the more experienced Monster High collectors.  How are releases handled for the dolls?  Does Mattel announce everything that is coming out ahead of time?  I'm just wondering if there are surprise releases sometimes, or do you always know what is coming out when?

I LOVE that they did a design on her legs. But I kinda wish they just did a filigree-ish pattern instead of the awkward blob and then the design. It just looks weird to me imo.  Or maybe did less blob.

I know Mandy's thread pinned up at the top usually has everything, very accurate. Occasionally they slip a surprise doll, but normally we all know well in advance. Partially because there are leaks in info a lot.

Thanks. I shipped two packages last week. One to the UK and one to Sweden and it cost me $40 to ship both. If it weren't so expensive, I would be willing to ship internationally, but I just can't afford it.

I thought the buyer has to pay for shipping anyway. isn't that how it usually goes??
You could always let your buyer pay the shipping internationally if they want it that bad..

I know here on the forums, asking people to chip in/cover shipping is normal. I personally always ask for shipping, unless I'm doing a straight trade, in which case we're both already paying to ship something anyway. I don't think I've ever actully done a straight buy where shipping cost wasn't included.

By the way, why are there two different versions of SC Venus, one with green eyeshadow and another with pink? Are there any other differences between the two versions other than the eyeshadow?

Just adding my 2 cents.  I don"t know why there are two versions of Venus SC but the green eye shadow variant has pink lips.  The other Venus has a dark sort of maroon colored lips.

It was a mistake.  She was supposed to come out with the green eyeshadow/pink lips but somehow they messed up and used the original face make-up.  That mistake was caught and the doll was made the way she was intended after that.

Thank you for the info Shahaila.   I like the the green eyeshadow Venus.  Her face is softer with the new make-up.
