ridiculously. expensive ff Cotton Candy?

Did anyone else catch the end of that auction on eBay? Holey crowleys! Was Cotton Candy's hair made of spun gold? Is she stuffed with diamonds? I'm sorry, 3400 is just too much to spend on a generic pony...or is she? Was there something special about her that I missed (other than the fact she was really pretty)

Its a private auction so maybe the seller is using the pony as a front to receive funds from something else.    Then there is a paper trail should things need to be safely reversed.

A front for something else was my initial thought too, but actually hadn't thought of that possibility when it comes to things like say- trading really rare things-like a security deposit.  It's actually very brilliant (aside from the auction ending fees).  Would have saved me a lot of grief a couple years ago from being scammed by Tiny Shiny Unique.     

Just as an aside- that's a really nice FF Cotton Candy.

I never even knew people did that! Although, this seller sells everything as private so I don't think that would be the case here.
