Some customizing questions (Sculpting and glitter)

Hi guys! Thought I'd try my luck here and ask if anyone knows what sculpting material is best to use on an MH head? (I'm going to turn an Abbey into an asari from the Mass Effect games - they have head tentacle-things instead of hair)

I have super sculpey lying around but I'm afraid to use it without knowing for sure that it will work - the MH heads are pretty squishy, and I don't want to spend ages sculpting only to have it crack off if I smoosh the head.

And, on that note, can MH heads go in the oven safely?

Also, I've noticed on Flickr that some customizers use some sort of fine glitter, similar to Abbeys. Anyone have any clue what it is? I've kept an eye out for it in craft shops, but no dice.
