how did you come up with the name for your ponysona?

For mine, I took what her coloring reminded me of (Cocoa) and something cute which is also common in pony names (Swirl)
But... I don't have any ideas for yours.

i took the japanese pronunciation of the what inspired my pony (cuz it was a japanese product)
melon cream soda so it became meron durimu (melon dream) though dream sounded more fun than cream.

but looking at the cutie mark on that pony the first thing i think of is
"Lucky Draw"
maybe take that as a starting point?

if the planet wasn't there i'd say something like moon ribbon or something.

Raposa (which is portuguese for fox) is my usual screen name pretty much everywhere on the internet, for some reason I could not use it when a registered on MLPTP ages ago.

So I just put together my favorite pony and fox. The final result doesn't make much sense but I decided to keep it for the pony community when I registered here. I actually made the persona for the name I already had then.

About your persona, she is exotic, a unique color combo ^^. The first think I thought was "Luck Charm".
I like the idea that "Sky Painter" brings but I would like it to sound better >.o Could not fix it yet >.o

My ponys' names are not too creative. Sunflower is named because she has a sunflower symbol. Lilac is named because she has a lilac symbol.

Snowcap is a wee bit more creative because hubby and I would make jokes about naming our kids. Last name of Capp, so we would image a Sky Capp, Bottle Capp, Mountain Capp, Snow Capp, etc etc. I finally came up with his design when I saw the name of a ship Starry Ice. Wham bam, inspiration struck. But his name still isn't all that creative.

I went with a fire themed pony. Naming was hard at first but I had the idea to take the phrase femme fatale and make it Flame Fatale. 
But instead of using his name for my username I just went with Thefatalflame since it sounded better for a username.
I find it fun to use play on words and modified familiar phrases/terms for pony names.

Sky-pin got her name from a mix, I was originally gonna have her be a pegasus and call her Sky-stomper or Sky-pain (hence her foot looking like she stepped in skyish paint) but I realized I would probably be an earth pony so she got grounded and just has the stars as a tattoo. I got the pin part because I've always had tons of safety pins arou nd (I shed them like a cat sheds fur) and my husband said I should incorporate them into my pony.

I came up with my ponysona Storm Feather's name using a list that I brainstormed. I basically knew I wanted something to do with weather, and I went from there. She's a grey pegasus with an electric blue, choppy mane, purple eyes and a cutie mark that's a white cloud with a blue quill sticking out the side. Her talent is creative writing (like me!). I would think of your pony's talent and design and go from there..
