Your favorite singer(s)?

Just as the title says, who is your favorite singer? What do you like about them? How long have they been your favorite?

My favorite is David Cook. Back in middle school, I was a huge American Idol fan and he was my favorite when he was on the show. Since then, he has been my favorite singer I love his voice, it's very sexy and he is extremely attractive. His songs are so romantic and he plays guitar as well. I've been to two of his concerts and I even met him and received a hug (there was so much squeeing going on, in my head of course) and I got a couple pictures with him Second favorite was also an American Idol contestant, Adam Lambert. His music is very catchy and upbeat which I love. The range in his voice is astounding and he is extremely good looking as well. Too bad he's not interested in women..... Oh! And I think it's awesome that he wears makeup. He pulls it off really well too. I've only been to one of his concerts and it was pretty fun

Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth. He can growl pretty deeply but have such a wonderful melodic voice as well... I usually say I would totally marry his voice. My boyfriend laughs at this because he gets what I mean xD

Second comes Matthew Bellamy from Muse. Seriously, this guy is just... Something else !

Not sure about third place to me xD

Hansi Kürsch hands down!! his voice is sooo bittersweet <3 i cant describe with words how Blind Guardian music makes me feel! they have a song for every emotion, and we vibe in the same wave *sigh*. The moment i hear them for the first time, they became my favourite band instantly. And its about ten years? I also like Axl rose voice and Valo from Him, but they are no comparison to Hansi^^. *sighs again*

Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly, Andy Stewart, Matt Monro....yes, I'm old fashioned.

I also love Matthew Broderick, Kristin Chenoweth, Lea Salonga and Michael Buble though so maybe that makes things a little better?

I love everything about the Beatles. They've been my favorite band since I was 13 years old. 

So obviously, my favorite single artist would have to be a Beatle, and I would say that mine is George! He's so underrated out of all of them. While I do think that some of his lyrics can be a little on the weak side sometimes, (especially in comparison to Lennon/McCartney songs), I really love his bluesy rhythms, his dedication to his faith, and the honest optimism that you can really feel in his music. Harrisongs are the songs that just make me feel good. Like, I can't be sad listening to a George Harrison song.

He seemed like a super awesome human being as well. I just seriously love him.

And it's true. I totally crushed on him through puberty, as I did with all of the Beatles. George is still my favorite though.

Sarah Brightman is my favorite. She started as a member of a popgroup a longlong time ago, met Andrew Lloyd Webber and became a musical superstar which she still is. She can sing classical pop and opera in the same song, with no effort in the tranistions. Her voice is soft and gentle, yet hard as steel. She's humble and so sweet when she talks and her love for her fans is amazing. The only thing I really dislike, sad to say, is the way she dress on stage. She's over 50 years old and dress as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera did during their prime. I'm also sad to see that she's turned to playback in several appearances nowadays.

Next in line is Loreena Mckennit. Her voice gives me the chills..

Enya is the third.. soothing and warm.

When it comes to male singers.. I have a soft spot for Bruce Dickinson.

I'm not aloneeee! it's flippin' FANTASTIC. I, too, could marry his voice.

Also, I just today found a singer called Emily Loizeau and fell instantly in love with her music
