Hi, I'm Roxy and my 8 year old daughter loves My Little Pony, actually our whole family loves MLP.  I didn't play with them when I was younger but introduced my daughter to them as she was growing out of Little People.  I chose not to have Barbies, Disney Princesses or similar dolls in our home so MLP proved a GREAT alternative.
She began collecting about 4 years ago and has over 200 ponies, cataloged on an Exel spreadsheet.
We are SUPER excited for the MLP convention this summer, which is what brought me to this forum.
I would like advice to help my daughter enjoy the convention.

I've always wanted to attend a pony convention but sadly I live in a very isolated country at the bottom of the world!  I hope you and your daugher have enough fun there for me too

Oh I am sure she will love the convention! I got to go last year, but am having to skip this year because my due date is too close to the convention.

and welcome to the Arena.  My daughter was the same age at her first convention in San Fran.  Make sure you take breaks, have her make a list of her most wanted ponies and be sure to look over what she wants to buy to make sure it is worth what she is paying.  Mostly have fun.  The biggest change in the conventions from back when we started to now is the number of folks really role playing which can be a bit intense for a young lady to understand.
