OMG i have a job interview on Friday

I am so nervous, I have never had a job interview in my life 
I left college at 18 went to an agency and went into my previous job without an interview. I was there 9 years until being made redundant in December.

The interview is at a day nursery, a complete change of direction for me as my previous job was admin work and before that i studied horses at college

Anyone work in childcare and have some good interview tips?

Bring a resume even if you already submitted one, highlight any experience you have with children.
I'm not sure if I'm the best person to give advice though, I'm kinda in the same boat. I graduated as a veterinary assistant, but now I want to get into childcare.

im just worried about my lack of knowledge in the field, however it is an apprentice role im going for to gain training

Good luck! Interviews can be nerve-wracking but I'm sure you'll do great.

Have an answer as to why they should hire you.  That's basically what they want to hear.  But also, be confident, well-spoken, and BE YOURSELF.  Good luck!

Do some research in to the company even if it is just a nursery they love it when you have looked in to the structure and history of the company it shows that you are serious about wanting to work there and are not just planning on using it as a pit stop.

Also think of a list of questions for you to ask them. every job interview I have had they have asked that of me.

think of the comparables between the industry that you studied and child care and try to apply any transferable skills from one to the other.
