Because you may never know - you probably won't even notice - the young man who happened to be within earshot, who turns away with tears in his eyes and says a little whispered prayer "Please, God, let me be there someday". Because he's just had all his dream shattered...again...but he still wishes you nothing but the best.

You will be there someday. Unfortunately the best men have the worst time. I've married an amazing man, who's been lied to, used, cheated on and dumped, time after time, and when I got hold of him I vowed never to let go! I honestly can't believe he loves me.

One of my friends is also a great guy, but he has this image of his dream woman, and unfortunately no-one else will do - everyone fitting his criteria turns out to be completely wrong for him and they don't last. He comes to me heart broken again and again. If I can give you any advice, be open to love from anyone - beauty is on the inside, and once you've seen true beauty, you'll never go back, believe me!

You'll find what you are looking for as long as you never close yourself off to letting others love you. Just remember you deserve to have someone really love you and wait for the one who does instead of running off with one who doesn't. It will be worth the wait in the end.

Be kind to yourself while you heal and know that dreams always come true as long as you don't give up on them. It just takes a stupid long time sometimes, which really, really sucks.

Just to clarify, what's happened is not that Liz has left me...though we are on rocky ground.

What's happened is I failed my certification test at a job selling watches at the mall, and there went my last hope at a professional career.

Believe it or not, when you don't get the job you wish you had that is not always a bad thing.  Sometimes its a good thing because you need to be doing something else... somewhere else.  Also a test is just a test.  You may be able to take that again.  I told my husband this so many times and finally he has started believing me.  My husband has had terrible job issues and he would probably know first hand how you feel there...but I will tell you for him...there is no way this is the last hope for your  professional careers.  Just try again...keep trying.  When I married my husband he didn't have a good job at all.  He has a great job now, but we waited 15 years for that.  Finally he is where he needs to be.

I have noticed for myself that when I longed for things I saw all around me...they came in the strangest order....not how I expected...not like I thought they should...and not how it seemed to happen for everyone else I knew.
