tablet advice needed - wacom DTZ series or DTU?
« on: March 08, 2013, 09:16:45 AM »
Hi everyone!

I've been contemplating getting a tablet to draw and I've always loved Wacom, I had the occasion to try the DTZ-2100 and just now discovered the DTU-710. The price difference is absolutely amazing and I'd love to know the difference between these two? The stats don't say much to my stupid brain. I don't want to go for the smaller one and regret it or buy the big one and notice later that it's just too big for my small needs.

I tried a regular tablet for a long time and just don't get used to drawing while looking at my screen so seeing what I draw under my fingers would be better.

Thanks for your help :)

I have no idea sadly. I've been interested in a tablet, but not sure I have enough need for it yet.

Im not sure what version I have...all I know is that its a waccom, ive had it since 2006 (bought it new), and its dying on me so I need a new tablet.

For most people, a waccom is awesome, but im ready to move to the next stage.  Ive pounded my poor tablet through the ground all these years o.o  Hoping to get one I can actually draw on (screen inside the tablet)^^

As far as size goes...I have a 4x6 one and found that I was constantly drawing off the pad.  Maybe a meduim one will work out?

I use a repurposed medical tablet PC, so I don't really have any Wacom advice.  I will bump this up a little for you, though.
