See this is why you totally love to collect italians or it drives you so bonkers that you just say "basta!"

SOoo ... I think I found me an italian supplier (since family in Intra so does not understand their "Amerigo's wife" wanting such things...)

and a green haired minty along with some more commons was in the box = so I was planning on cleaning up and selling and then I checked her out with my other one... and this

ugh = so I am off to check my red and magenta hair and find out who technically has the backward symbols

unless anybody here know?  I'm asking for some best guesses on value = anybody know how many of these are known to exist?

gotta resist the urge to keep the variants... I really want to find a green haired baby greek minty or a brunette/blond piggy (I'll break my no piggy rule for that minty golden luck girl) oh yeah, and a funskool as I think those three and a purple hair (which is probably a never happening) are the only Minty's remaining on my "to find" list... and I have an excuse of my birthday and St. Patrick's coming up...

anyhow - thanks in advance for advice on pricing or if I should just go with offers on one of these

She's a perfect pony for St Patrick's Day!! I would go with offers on her. She's really beautiful.

I know what you mean sometimes the variants of the variants can drive you batty lol

i am thinking there are still under 10 of these ponies, so she is still rare! i would guess at $500 plus each.

i am not sure if the symbol variation will make much difference to her value to be honest, but it is no less interesting to know about.

With how few of her there are, and the nice colours, I would expect around $500 for her, possibly more on a good day.

thanks for the price point... yah I was thinking in a $600 ish range and I agree about the clover placement - but it is a cool variation among the 10 or so of this variety.  Classic italian quality control is a reason to love 'em

MCM ~ yes indeed quaility control! i remember that the italian ponies had hand stamped symbols, which would account for the number of symbol variations they have as well as the flaws and sudges that are so common.

oh wow = I did not know that they hand stamped symbols = that does indeed explain the variations, smudges etc. :-) thanks for the info :-)

Do you know if they also hand carved the italy on the hoof?  I swear it seems I never see an identical hoof marking in that regard so I just assumed that might be the case

I noticed it when I did a custom of green haired minty. At that time, I owned only regular minties. I painted the symbols, and when checking whith yellow variants... I noticed they were all reversed !!
I'm speaking of bright yellow minties, so with green, magenta, red, neon red or purple hair. (But I haven't checked them all)
Oranged-yellow minties with white hair seems to have regular symbols, if I remember well.

oh my goodness me = ok = lemme go get all my clover girls... have to update my siggy anyway ;-) and now I am all get out curious to see which way  pony symbols I have altogether - same as you I'm thinking...

psydo in a way I am thankful for this project even though I know I am totally going to have a living room full of ponies in a moment that will need organizing - see what I mean about italian ponies?! 

(trots off to get ponies out of storage...)

so for me = my regular stamp-eye, the two golden (2 and 4 stamp) and the airbrush blue clover all match my yellow body italian minty-s

it's my air-brush italians (light green and dark green clovers - both 2 stamp) and macau -like that have the same "reverse" as I was calling it clover symbol as the new green-haired ... hmmm

so I seem to have an opposite group from what you have, oh my
