Need some help (G1 Minty)

So today I bought a G1 Minty. Now it was in a glass case and didn't check the hooves till after I bought it (for probably too much but I'm okay with it).

Well one hoof says it's from year 2007. Did I get some weird reproduction? A fakie? I'm rather confused. It also tells me it was made in china.

I'm not very knowledgeable  on G1s but the cutie mark is on both sides, I'm not sure if that's normally with G1s either.

In short, I'm confused. If it's some sort of fakie, I don't really care. It looks very nice and like the original.

That Minty sounds like the reproduction, or "repro pony", that was released on MLP's 25th anniversary. Also, it is normal for G1s to have cutie marks on both sides, which makes restoring them a bit of a pain.

Yup, you got yourself a repro from the 25th anniversary re-release. Not a bad thing, just hope you didn't pay G1 price for it, and that it wasn't sold to you as a G1 because that's fraudulent and if you got it off eBay you can file a grievance...I would! The reproductions are typically a much more vibrant green than the original, but if you like her, who cares? Enjoying the pony is what it's all about!

I paid $15 from a store,not ebay. Honestly if I overpaid, I'm not mad. I'll still buy the original, I'm just happy to have another Minty!

Its expensive for who she is...but at the end of the day that doesnt matter as long as you like her

As others have said she is from the collectors set retro versions which were released for the 25th Anniversary a few years ago.
