taken apart the big talking cadance?
« on: February 24, 2013, 10:57:20 AM »
has anyone done this and also made a "how to" tutorial perhaps?

any tips? xD every time i try to remove the head i hear ominous sounding cracks from the body D:

i really need to remove the head, wings and tail, and possibly all of the internal sound stuff, or at least the button...

I'm working on one right now, and there is at least one other topic on it. It's not that hard really, I used a dremel for a lot of the work :p I pulled the head off of 2 Celestias, some force will do. Maybe you'll need some help from an xacto for it.

the talking celestias, I'm working on a tutorial for it as well :3 they're actually pretty easy to take apart with the right tools, you don't need an xacto to get the head off, you just need to heat it up, I used a blow drier.

As far as getting the body apart, it is held together with screws. You'll see little plugs of plastic in several places on one side of the body, you'll need to drill those plugs out to find the screws, and then unscrew it. It will take a little force after that but it will pop apart, and then you'll have access to the tail and all the electronic pieces, and will be able to get at the wings at that point.

you can use boiling water too just make sure you only submerge the head, there are no electronic parts in the head. You can also take apart the body without removing the head first and the head joint will come out with the head when you split the body in half. From there then you can use boiling water without worries to get the joint out of the head
