Prepping Celestia?
« on: February 23, 2013, 03:56:38 PM »
I have the Celestia from the Royal Castle Friends set, and I have the head off and plug out, but now what?  How do I get to her tail to take it out?  Also, is Luna's mold the same way?

This tutorial should help (and I think it was written by someone here on the arena), since I think that all the brushable Celestia's are the same. Because the body is hard plastic you have to remove the wings to get to the tail, and yeah, Luna is the same way. I can say from experience though that getting those wings out are not fun, lol. But well worth it.

I've done one custom using this mold, and I'm not allowed to use the language that I'd like to describe just how awful it was to work with those wings.  Thankfully, the custom that I was making didn't need the wings, but even without trying/needing to save them, that back plug was terrible.

I just did a custom using that same Celestia I believe. It was a big pain.

Xacto knife and a lot of patience and boiling water were used.

There was a lot of glue in her wings, most likely to keep children from pulling them off. To be fair, I used a lot of glue when I was putting them back, lol.

Good luck!
