My fursuit progress..

Hi! I recently started working on a fursuit and I'm reeeeally excited!! The only thing is... somehow I'm really overwhelmed and afraid it's not going to look good because I'm sort of a perfectionist when it comes to that kind of stuff... x__x

Super cute! I would try to bulk out the cheeks a little bit...they look a tad flat at the moment, but that should be an easy fix. That's going to be adorable when it's furred!

I'm beyond horrible at carving foam (and have no desire to play with resin), but I think I found a way around that for the pony suit I'm currently working on. I'll share pics as it comes together.

Definitely looks better than something that I could do Carving foam looks like it would be difficult but you seem to have a good system going because it looks adorable already!

I forgot to mention that I commissioned a pro to make Lihani. I knew she was the right artist...her style suits the character so well! (She's also local so there was no shipping involved. )

Mine's going to be a partial.. she's going to wear a schoolgirl outfit, hehe... so she'll have full legs, though.

Paulie got a face lift! This is after I had pinned all the foam on... I'm in the process of sewing it all on with upholstery foam, and once that's sewn it will look much more even.
Her eye holes look uneven but that's just because i need to carve out more foam inside her x__x

BUT, I'm really happy with the size of her head! It just fits over mine, and my chin is tucked snugly in her muzzle. Since I'm short, and it's only a partial, I didnt want the head to be super big x__x

What are you using to carve the foam? I found that using an electric turkey knife is WAY better than trying to do it with scissors! The digitigrade legs and tail were carved out of foam with this suit, but the face was sculpted and then I used a method similar to casting. If you ever need fursuiting help send me a PM and I can teach you what I know ^^

That's a much better pic. She looks great! Jinxxy's adorable too. If my pony turns out half that good, I'll be a very happy camper.

If my pony turns out well, I'm gonna make a Pony 3/4 partial, and I really want to attempt a quad. Building fursuits is almost as addictive as collecting ponies.

i'm loving all these! Dainty, your suit seems to be coming along great! I could never make anything as cool myself (I'm so not crafty) so I always admire people who can I can't wait to see it progress ^^
