Which stores sell the new swim dolls? I'm thinking about getting Lagoona or Draculaura but I want to see them in person first. I haven't seen them at Walmart or Target, so I'm guessing they're not sold there?
Also Kmart, Barnes & Noble

I'll add Justic to that list. That is where I got Lagoona and LaLa at.

Ok, I'll check Kmart and Barnes & Noble. The Kohl's near me doesn't carry toys at all and I don't have any of the other stores nearby.

I really like the whole idea of the scorpion genie. But Gigi just doesn't do anything for me. I wish she did. I feel like she could have been a lot better if they took her in a different direction. But I also understand that the main audience for these dolls are kids.

Gigi is kind of cute... I'll be getting her but personally she isn't what I see as a 'genie'. I still need to get hair to rehair my genie/djin custom. She's got more of a fire-elemental theme to her since djin mythology has them being as powerful elementals. Her clothes even have a blue-to-yellow variegation to look like flames kind of. And her hair is variegated from yellow to dark red too. >.> And her skin is pretty damn yellow-orange. lol. It will be interesting to have her and Gigi side by side. Too bad now I have to figure out another name for her, since both Jina and Gigi have been taken by mattel. >.>

I want to pitch an idea for an adult line of monster high. Does anyone know if this has actually been done before? Like actually contacted mattel with ideas/designs, names of characters, name of the line, etc?

animal_lover, from what I understand, Mattel doesn't take ideas from outside sources. If you wanted to work with them you'd have to be employed by them first.

This. Mattel never takes suggestions from emails. If they did, they would have tons of 12-year-olds going "CAN U MAKE MY OC?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" (Actually, they probably get emails like that already, anyway...)

Hmm. I can understand that. But if I went in depth with this, and gathered evidence, information, everything i could to show them it would be a profitable idea, would they at least consider it? And maybe i try to go directly to the source rather than just through fan mail or whatever.
