I've been wanting to buy that set for awhile now but am holding off on it since Mattel seems to release sets with dolls after they release the normal set. I have the feeling that right after I buy it a set that includes a doll is going to be announced >.<
Oh don't tell me this!   :lol:

So I just found a pre-order listing for PG Toralei saying that it is guaranteed to ship out within 30 days after the listing ends. I wonder how true that is.....

Just managed to squeak in on one of the last few Blob/ice girl CAM sets on Amazon. So excited!

Also I had a question. I bought the DC Robecca to have her wear her fashion pack, but she doesn't have holes for the earing or eyepatch! What is the safest way to make them without risking damaging her?

I know, right? Way to make me afraid to buy your playsets, Mattel. At least with the Scooter and Powder Room they announced/released both the doll and non-doll sets around the same time, though...

I haven't tried this myself but I read someone say they use a safety pin (or straight pin) that they've heated up a little to poke a hole in the ear.

You can even use a push pin. Just be careful how you heat it up. Make sure the metal doesn't have black stuff on it or the black will melt into the dolls plastic and stay there. Candles are realy bad about turning the needles black. I have had the best luck with an electric stove burner, and even that can sometimes char the metal. :(

You CAN just poke a hole with a push pin. But I don't know how easy it will be to get the earring inside. You might poke the pin in, then leave it set for a few minutes, then pull it out quick and put the earring in right away. Gives the plastic less time to close back up.

I tried with an un-heated pin and the hole was waaayy too small, no way was that chunky plastic earring going in there  :huh:

Yeah I haven't found a safe way to pierce a doll's ears (my poor DT Frankie and Ghoulia who have earrings sitting around...) without the hole being SUPER small. I didn't realize how big the doll earrings are until I really looked at them x.x;

I use my dremel and tiny drill bit for the piercings.

Maybe those little manual hand drills can make a hole small enough and not burn anything into the plastic?? My dt Frankie needs holes for her earrings. I haven't tried yet with mine but I don't want to mess around with her

I first insert a thumbtack to make the hole, and then, after leaving it in for a minute or so, I shove a toothpick in and leave it for a little while to make it real wide. Then I put the earrings in.

I usually make  pilot hole with my rooting needle, then i stick the tip of my exacto blade in and gently twist (like a screwdriver) until the hole is big enough to poke the earrings in (when I pierce my CaMs)

Oooh, the toothpick after the pushpin is brilliant! I'll have to try this!
