TBH, I started collecting again when G3 came out. I found my childhood collection, and scouted online to see if there was a community. Lo and behold there was!
This was in the old Ezboard TP, when there was nothing but rumours about G3's and these terrible blurry pictures.
And then it proved to be true! The TP exploded with new members, and a culture clash of epic proportions happened.
And I stayed. Then, one fateful October evening, in California, some blonde nub decided to open the Arena, and in January of 2004 she made me a mod!

I have met so many AMAZING people since then. I've also been around the world, bought ponies in Beverly Hills, held a pony meet in deepest darkest Lower Hutt and found ponies in the strangest places.

Once upon a time I was a lonely nub here, and through the years I've some how managed to come to run this place.*

I joined for the ponies of course, which was more than 7 years ago. Luckily I'm still in them only and collected 400 G1 ponies so far. Dolls don't attract me at all (never played with 'em as a child) and G3s are only welcome if they'll become a custom. G2 and everything after G3 was one of the worst things, Hasbro ever did. Sorry just my two cents.

I love the arena for the pony friends I got by it too these days, so big hugs to everybody who knows me.

I joined because I wanted to chat with more pony people I'm a performer by trade and as such many of the people i'm around are way too busy with gigs, makeup and being popular to actually care anything about 80's toy addictions I've been there for 10 years (and tried to be popular for like a minute but it was too much work!) I figure, I'm 29, I don't really have time for things that aren't me anymore.

But ponies? They'll always be me

I've been working on a trading site (its not nearly show-ready so Im not quite ready to show it off just yet )) along with a photo gallery of my collection. My partner also worked on a pretty spiffy G1 identification site that I hope to get looking SMASHING by the time I'm ready to post it

Its also gotten me into pony crafts--- since I can't really draw (and don't have much time to practice) I want to make My Little Pony themed clothes, cross stitches and possibly amigurumi One thing at a time, eh?

I also would love to cosplay as Megan (something I've wanted to do since I was about 3 ))

I wish I could say that FiM got me back into the fandom... but honestly many things about that show bother me. I guess I'm just a fuddy duddy when it comes to things like that

I really can't wait, though, to be able to swap with everyone and get to know you all better this site really is special!

I was looking up info on ebay about vintage mlp and stumbled upon the awesome customs that were floating around ebay at the time. I recall a lot of Final Fantasy ones lol! I thought, hey I want to do that too! So then I found Dollyhair, and she had an ad for the arena at the bottom of her page. I came here, read the rules and I joined! Best decision ever. I've met some of the nicest people through the arena. Love you guys!

Yes, I'm the power behind the throne (well, the porcelain kind). But I'll always need a figurehead to do the interacting with people, look menacing but beautiful, that kind of stuff etc. And also, you have 34 votes.

I came here because I was wanting to learn more about ponies. My little cousin had a few and I loved how they looked and I wanted to start collecting something cheaper than breyers.

But since I saw the MH dolls I also started looking and reading in the Dollhouse 
So I've voted for both.

I joined several years ago when I was actively collecting vintage MLP, I then spotted the dollhouse forum & decided to have a mooch, found Pullips, & my pony collection stopped the day my first Pullip arrived. I still have all my mlp's, & still visit the arena from time to time. I've popped on today because I've started to think I might like to get back into my ponies so I'm putting my toes in the water. I do miss the arena, & the people that I used to see on here, but Pullips are so expensive, that I haven't really been able to keep up with my mlp collection.
