Anyone else have a strangely varied taste in music?

I like a lot of different types of music! From dubstep to orchestral, house to jazz, alternative to piano! Its crazy! Anyone else this weird? Also, if you like the type of music I do, post your favorite song!!!

From 60's~80's, to country, to whatever the heck my fiance listens to trance? techno?, and a good mix of foreign music (japanese, italian, korean, vietnamese... etc), video game sound tracks...

The only thing I don't really listen to is current music on the radio. o__o;

Definitely varied taste in music - variety is the spice of life! I like to have a bit of music from lots of different genres and eras to suit my variou moods

I like Mozart, late 50's, 60's, late 70's, some 80's, 90's a little bit just mostly the Euro dance that came out then and the songs that were popular when I was a teen, I like bands like Poison, Ratt, Motley Crue, etc, and a lot of stuff from Europe

I guess? I mostly listen to metal and its various sub-genres (except black ) my fav being technical death. I also love weird avant-garde stuff, jazz, certain types of classical, video game remixes, ska, classic R&B... lot of things.

The only kind of music I really can't stand is country and gospel.

My all time favorite band is Septicflesh, who have torn down, redefined and dominated symphonic death metal \m/

several kinds of metal (Symphonic and post black, melodic death, romantic doom, industrial, power, folk, new wave of British heavy metal etc. - the majority, admittedly, and too many bands to name...)
gothabilly/ska punk/punk (Save Ferris, The Vincent Black Shadow, Nekromantix, Ramones)
synth pop and electronic stuff (Neuroactive, Deadmau5, Apoptygma Berzerk)
some misc. gothic music (The Birthday Massacre, Deine Lakaien, Theatre of Tragedy...)
some dear old darkish goodies (Siouxsie, The Mission, Anne Clark, Nick Cave, Morrissey...)
and then...
Editors, Tori Amos, Anna Ternheim, Herborg Kråkevik, The Tiny, Portsmouth Symphonia ... and to top it off, the recent Roxette album. 
Now and then I love some 60s/70s and especially cheesy 80s music, and the early 90s had some gems, too.

However, I can't bear most of the current mainstream stuff, be it boy bands, girl groups or dance pop (from that horrible "Ballermann" stuff to Lady Gaga - no, thanks.) and I really, really can't stand RnB and Hip Hop... and most "femme metal" bands...

Ha those are my two favorite genres.  I've been to Fanfair in Nashville and most of the major opera houses across the country, including the grand ole opry of course.   

I am into music, doesn't matter what it's called, if i like it, I like it.  Been addicted to audio books since I do a lot of driving out here so that also fills my itunes.

I can go from rock to pop to alternative to opera to heavy metal to classic on a single playlist. I think the only music I won't willingly listen to is country.

I guess me too. I listen to a wide gamut of styles ranging from oldies to rock to pop to j-pop to eurobeat to metal to country to childrens music to soundtracks. I guess my taste just bounces all over the place, and preferences increase if two genres overlap.

Me too. I also don't get into much of the overplayed mainstream stuff. I cannot stand Eminem. I can't stand how he glorifies domestic abuse. Also some music with certain fast beats makes me want to have a seizure. I physically feel like I'm going to have a heart attack when I listen to it.

I do listen to a lot, though I gravitate toward a few genres, those genres being gypsy music, jazz, and downtempo electornica or trip hop or whatever it's called. When I'm not listening to those genres, I listen a smattering of things. I like bluegrass, Americana, when I'm in the car it's classical or bust. I seem to enjoy punk that isn't in English, usually Swedish, but I seem to be getting into Japanese punk. I can't say there are any genres I avoid as a whole, but I definitely have my favourites. I play bass and my background is in audio engineering, so I listen to a lot of music with upright basses, and I always appreciate a well recorded, mixed, and mastered record.
