Can anyone identify these vintage toys?
« on: February 13, 2013, 12:24:02 AM »
I need two toys identified but sadly I only have pictures of one at the moment!
Anywho, here's the first one:

I'm using DJ Pon3 for a size reference!

Who is this puppy? I've had her forever, when I was around 4 to 7 I'd keep her in a box; I liked to pretend she was an evil mastermind that couldn't be released. :P

However I never found out what she was or where she was from and I just re-found her recently... in the same box... Poor thing! XD

The second toy I need identifying is one I remember really specifically, I was crazy for this toy. But I can't remember what it was called!

I know it had to do with fairies, it was some sort of yellow teapot/flower nursery. It had small little "flower babies" that all smelled like different types of fruit (or whatever you'd call that scent they'd spray on all "fruit-smelling" toys in the early 90s xD).

In the spout of this teapot playset was a small slide, and I *think* the fairies were taken care of by little animals?
I'll get pictures tomorrow, since I found about three of the babies the set came with.

The fairies you're thinking of might be Fairy Winkles. There seem to be other sets but I did see a teapot one with what looked like a spout as a slide.

As for the dog, I sadly can not tell you.

Oh! Okay thank you guys because if it weren't for you I never would've completely, accidentally stumbled upon exactly what I was looking for!

And thank you DannyAzazel! Fairy Winkles was another toy I know I had/loved, and I believe I still have a piece too, even if it wasn't the specific one I was looking for here.

Unfortunately it seems as though the specific playset I was thinking of is non-existant except for a tiny 300x200px image, but here's another playset I had that I still have the pieces for! (At least the babies)

Large image, so here's a spoiler tag:

The only picture of the set I know I was obsessed with is this:

Or at least I believe this is it, I don't know how many yellow nursery teapots the company made. :P

And the puppy is from a Takara Tomy Furry Families Playset!

No wonder I could find ANY info on her, with Takara's reputation for pretty much wiping any traces of their old products off the planet, unless you already knew what they were. :throw:

Of course now I have a need to track down the rest of her family! Lol. So if anyone sees anything Furry Families related, let me know. ;D

Cute toys! I knew that dog looked familiar, I'm pretty sure I had some sort of dollar store fakie version as a kid. I don't have any furry families for sale myself, but I see a lot with her parents on ebay right now. Search "tomy furry families" and you'll be sure to find it. Good luck hunting for them. :)
