First two Rehaired Customs ever!! :)

Okay, I'm so excited. #1 - I finished both of these customs, completely rehaired 100% by me. #2 - I'm now loving rehairing and cannot wait to do more!

So, here's my very first rehair project: G3 Dutch Star Pony
Rehaired with Water Nixie, eyes and symbol repainted and sealed.

And here's my alternate rehair Princess Primrose.
Rehaired with Death by Bougainvillea and aqua tinsel. I think I'm still going to repaint her eyes, haven't decided.

I left both of their hair so long because I haven't been confident enough to cut and style it yet, lol... but I'll get there!

Anyway, thanks for letting me show them off! I'm pretty proud of myself - I didn't break one needle, and on the 2nd custom, I didn't really waste any hair (had some issues on the first attempt on the rehairing process, where I lost a few plugs worth). I LOVE rehairing now, and can't wait for more project ideas to hit me!

Thanks! It was supposed to bring out the purple in the center gem a bit more, and the blue was supposed to accent the blue-ish plastic of the actual medallion. Unfortunately, under the light of the camera flash - which I needed in order to show all those beautiful colors in the hair, it washed the medallion out - really making those "yellow/orange" pieces stand out, and make the purple look a lot lighter. In the natural light of day, the color of the gem and the hair are much closer... heh.

Thanks all! I realize now looking at the photos just how wonky the factory hair line on that G3 is compared to Primrose's hairline. With her hair, I think I have one hole that was out of place, and one that was "2"-wide in size, but on the G3, they were going all over the place! Maybe next time I try rehairing a G3 I should use an "alternate hairline" and try to make it straighter... but their plastic is SO hard!

I really appreciate all the compliments and views! I really enjoyed it, and can't wait to rehair my next project (of course, that means I have to paint it first, and I'm not so good at the painting part yet, lol!) Thank you everyone

The g3's have major wonky crazy hairlines!! Try using a push pin to widen and make new holes I'm still digging primrose's hair. Everytime I look at it I think wow!
