<-- This is what it use to look like, minus the coloured jewels, I KNEW it was missing something >(

I have a novelty cowgirl hat that's pink and is a plastic covered in a cheap flocking/felt. I wear it to concerts (The last one I wore it too, the singer actual stole it off me and wore it and even put it on the bassists head!) to a) keep the sun off me and b) keep my head warm and c) keep god knows what out of my dang hair.

So right now it's covered in dust, and with the up coming concert i'm attending, I want to wear it... but NOT while it's all dirty and gross looking. How do I return my beautiful hat to its former glory? :(

I was also thinking a soft bristle brush.  Good luck at any rate.

Hey, I also have a pink fedora!

Ain't that swell? Though mine's not a 'novelty hat', per se, it's from Montecarlo Hat Co., who make cheap 'cowboy' hats. They made a pink one. I saw it and thought 'oh my god I am never going to find a pink straw fedora ever again', so I bought it. I don't have a lot of outfits that go with a pink fedora, so I don't wear it much.

And that's water, not a giant bottle of vodka.

But a hat brush will do! Err, well, a soft bristled brush. They do make hat brushes, though! I had typed up how to do it but it didn't make sense to anyone but me, so here's a video; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnvorDVgkUQ

If it's super dusty, you could do what I do with my hats that I'm sure milliners will frown upon. I peel off the sticky papers from a lint roller, and dab it on the hat till it's dust free, then I'll give it a brushy brushy.

Masking tape. Make a circle large enough to find around your fingers out of preferably wide-band masking tape, and roll it around on it. it gets nasty fast, works like a charm though - homemade lint roller, really, except less sticky.
