Is there any way we might be able to get them to release it in other countries where Toys 'R Us-es are?

We could all politely email Hasbro, or send a mass email with a bunch of signature basically saying "we will buy your thing (provided you don't make it more expensive here than just importing it)". I imagine they're going to be all "Oh well, US TRU ships internationally!" and just laugh at those of us who'll end up paying 50% more to a post company in import charges...

Uh, what you talking bout bro? US TRU doesn't ship internationally unless a forwarding agent is used. Only then you pay through your nose for the forwarding costs...

I personally had my set sent to a friend as I wasn't sure the price they quoted me would pay for decent packaging (domestically they ship in just a giant cardboard box). I recall they quoted just under $10 to the UK, which is incredibly cheap.
