A Slightly Odd Question

One of my co-workers has asked for some help from me.

She bought a plush animated zebra to give to her husband for Valentine's day, but the guy's hair is just in an awful state.

I am hoping that by giving his hair a gentle washing and cleaning it will look better. The hair feels like nylon (at least compared to some DH hair that I have), so I am very much hoping this will fix the issue.

Any other suggestions you guys might have would be greatly appreciated. I would like to avoid trying to rehair him, since I don't know the first thing about making plushies... and I really don't want to have to take him completely apart.

Normal hair conditioner can work wonders.  Wet the hair, work the conditioner in and let it sit, brush out the hair, and rinse thoroughly.  You'll have to be very careful not to get water or conditioner on any of the electronic parts, though, if it's an
animated toy.

yeah -- conditioner works wonders on most of my ponies -- I would try that
