Plastic Heads Plush: G3 Big Babies - How many / can I see yours?

Does anyone else like those G3 Plastic Heads plushes?
Where they are a big baby with soft body & plastic head. I think they were trying to call them "so softs" but to me that will ONLY mean the flocked pony. At first, when they came out I wasn't sure. But then I got like Morning Mists or something (She's green 1 of my fave pony colors) and she sort of convinced me. Yeah they hog up a lot of space but I've been piling them in the closet till I get more room.

*Does NOT mean those 'humanized' ones where it's a G3.5 little big-head, or a sitting up the wrong way core 7. The ones with the true G3 face only, not the human+pony head.

Is there a directory of these somewhere?I'm trying to collect all of them. I've got a bunch, but then, every so often I'll see yet ANOTHER that I don't own. They don't tend to be that expensive either which is another incentive for me. I guess cause they take up so much room?

Does anyone actually own them all?
Can I see yours?

Has anyone ever customized one or done an alternate color rehair with one? If so, can I see it?
I've got a spare of that yellow one that's spooky, Bedtime Blessing I think (but the hair is bad) and I'm REALLY tempted to make her into "Baby Version Masquerade" but no idea how to go about it or if it should be done. Gosh all those hair holes would take FOREVER/consume alllll the dollyhair. Or! Or! What if you used her W/puffy yarn and had Baby Version Red Roses! There are possibilities here for sure.

What is your opinion on these guys- part of g3 or a separate line? Will they get more expensive in the future like the SoftSleepy Newborns? What WAS the price of SSNewborns G1s when those were new anyway? I think PlasticHeads Plush were cheaper when new.

I've got quite a few of those ponies!  I consider them to be a plush doll I guess. Their hair is fun to do because they are so big you can actually use human rollers  in it! I got:Tripsy Daisy, Angel Dove, Bedtime Blessings, Junebug,Good Morning Sunshine,Walking Sweet steps,Petal Dove & Soakey Dokey. They dont' all have their accessories though.I also got what I think is a fakie that looks very close to the real ponies! I got them form thrift stores, flea markets and ebay, most were pretty cheap.

I don't think I'd really call myself a FAN of them, but I do have a few of them. I pick them up whenever I see them at a thrift shop or yard sale for cheap. In fact, I just picked up Junebug a couple days ago.

What I personally don't like about them is that most of them have those non-removable clothes and diapers. I've never really been one for clothes on animals, so to me, they look a little weird because of that. Their faces are cute, though.

I'd love to see custom ones, if anyone's done them!

I have two, I actually have never found one myself but my mother found Sweet Steps with her GIANT walker at Goodwill, and a friend found me Good Morning Sunshine (and bought it because he thought it would freak my cats out!) at some thrift store.

They don't bother me, I just don't have enough room for them. But I would have no idea about rehairing them!

If I see the others, I will let you know!

Not a fan, but would have been nice if they had been made into standard ponies.  Bright Night has nice colours and a really cute symbol.

I had Soapy Smiles as a kid but I got rid of her. Those creep me out and it seemed to me like Hasbro was trying to make ponies into dolls way too much.

Same with the G3 newborns. Those things creep the hell outta me too >_>

I have a few. I want to remove the heads and put them on plastic bodies to make giant ponies someday.

Not my cup of tea to be honest. I have tried to like them...but I just cant - I dont even like the G1 SSN to be honest

For me I have always considered them a little separate from the line - almost like a baby doll version of MLP rather than an actual MLP. But that's a very personal opinion on them.

I feel the same way re: the G3 and G4 newborns. I almost feel like they're geared to a slightly younger audience than the regular MLPs too.

I've actually never seen the first batch of so softs there! I was just aware of the Core 7 ones with the mohawks, haha. I'm not a fan either, but I love the colours on Bright Night. Too bad she wasn't made into a regular pony too!

Here's some pics of me taking one apart, the one with the walker, and trying to find a fakie body that fits. The pink fakie body is an exact fit for the neck size but the neck will have to be glued on and the seams filled in with apoxy because it won't fit inside the neck hole.

I have the first three that were released: Petal Dove, Rose Bud, and Pretty Powder. I'm curious what they might be worth now? I'm at that point where I am going through a collection audit...and there are still so many ponies I want...so a few of the non-"regular" pony types might have to go!
